Responsibilities include 24-hour accountability for the management and long- term planning of the patient care area. This includes implementation of the nursing process, staff development and enhancement of the quality of patient care specific to the age/development of the patient population and cost containment. The Nurse Manager provides leadership, motivation and clinical expertise in the management and coordination of a specific Nursing unit(s) to provide quality patient care. Also, collaborate with nursing and hospital administrative staff to ensure that department philosophy and overall hospital objectives are accomplished. # Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing, or currently enrolled. Master#s degree preferred.#3 years behavioral health experience. Management experience required.#National Certification in area of expertise. Current New York State License as a Registered Nurse. BLS; Membership in a professional organization preferred. Attendance at continuing education,
