Job Overview:
A distinguished law firm is seeking an experienced attorney to join its IP Litigation team in New York. This position is ideal for candidates with a strong academic background and experience in intellectual property and patent litigation. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing complex patent disputes and contribute to high-profile cases, working alongside a team of leading professionals in the field. Location: New York City, NY Duties: Represent clients in complex patent litigation matters. Draft and review legal documents, including motions, pleadings, and discovery requests. Manage litigation timelines, discovery processes, and case preparation. Provide strategic legal advice to clients on IP and patent law issues. Participate in hearings, trials, and oral arguments. Contribute to PTAB (Patent Trial and Appeal Board) disputes, if applicable. Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and management. Conduct legal research and prepare detailed memoranda on IP-related issues. Support business development and client relations. Requirements: 3-6 years of experience in IP or patent litigation. Top-tier academic credentials and law school performance. Admission to the State Bar or eligibility for admission. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and oral communication abilities. Education: J.D. from an accredited law school (Graduation years 2019–2022 preferred). Undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related technical field. Certifications: Admission to the State Bar or eligibility to apply. Skills: Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills. Ability to manage complex legal issues in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Technical proficiency and the ability to quickly understand complex technical concepts. Experience with PTAB disputes is a plus.
