Project Manager - Industrial Automation

PURPOSE
Create and develop relationships supportive of the Baker Group mission statement with employees, internal and external customers. Additionally, provide opportunities to increase business unit revenues by marketing and cross-selling products and services provided by Baker Group. This includes, but is not limited to, industrial process and HVAC controls. Manage projects from design to owner training, maintaining and growing the "Customer for Life" concept for existing and new customers.
Provide sales support as needed, review estimates, initiate sales/ops turnovers, document scope, review control submittals and re-estimates, assist with scheduling and revenue forecasting. Price change orders ensuring customer labor rates/markups are met. Review and set goals for operations team members. Responsible for project execution coordination, documentation, financials, and customer satisfaction.

Understand industrial automation, manufacturing, processing, and HVAC systems Offer and implement solutions through engineering and field personnel Develop and maintain relationships with customers for long-term revenue opportunities Educate customers on Baker Group capabilities, including cross-selling opportunities Develop solutions using internal estimating software and standard products Review solutions with team members before presenting to customers Act as the account manager or single point of contact during project execution Assist with scheduling and attend project meetings Coordinate project turnovers, procure subcontracts, and manage project financials Ensure accurate daily reporting of time and equipment Engage in cross-selling and cold calling activities
Minimum Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Construction Science, Management, or Engineering preferred. Experience in industrial and process controls, estimating, managing automation projects, and developing customer relationships. Must have a good driving record and pass a background check.
Competencies Entrepreneurial spirit, positive attitude, teamwork, relationship development, strong communication skills, and knowledge of building automation systems.
