Ammons Way, Littleton, CO 80123 Floor: 1st Building: Swedish Southwest ER (SWER) General Information Tell us about the unit(s): Swedish Southwest FSED is an 18-bed full-service ED that has- a helipad, laboratory services, 24-hour xray and CT onsite and ultrasound availability. Southwest ER is staffed with a 24hr physician and a mid-shift APP during peak volume days. On average, the Southwest ER (SWER) treats 1,100 patients per month. •Number of Beds - 18: 3 resuscitation rooms, including a pediatric resuscitation room, 1 isolation room, 1 behavioral health safe room, and a rapid care area for the overflow of lower acuity patients. •Number of Staff - 7a RN x2, mid-shift RN x1, 1p paramedic, 7p RN x2, administrative support •Type of staff: •Manager (RN) •Day Shift - 1 Charge RN, 1 day RN, 1 mid-shift RN 10 am, 1 paramedic (mid-shift), Administrative Assistant support, 1 security guard (10-12 hours evenings) •Night Shift - 1 Charge RN, 1 night RN, 1 mid-shift RN, 1 paramedic (mid-shift) •RN Scheduler - shared between 3 Swedish EDs •Patient Ratios - 1 RN: 3-5 patients (generally 4 patients/RN) •Type of equipment - Lucas Device, Level 1 Rapid Infuser, IV Ultrasound, Baxter IV Pumps, transport monitor, glucometer •EMR - Meditech Typical hiring profile Skill Set Most recruited for: Travel RNs with Emergency Department experience and expertise Must have : Candidates must have the following licensure and certifications to be considered for the role. •Colorado or Compact RN license •BLS, ACLS, TNCC, PALS, NIH, ENPC-have taken once Preferred: Candidates with these skills will be considered first. •NRP •BSN, MSN List typical procedures performed on unit(s): •12-lead EKG, IV therapy, medication administration, wound care, splinting, cardiac monitoring •Resuscitation, ventilator set-up, airway management and monitoring, titration of vasopressor drips Best personality fit: •Fast-paced, experienced Emergency Department nurse who is energetic, takes initiative, and is a team player •Patient-focused, collaborative, versatile Unit Guidelines/Policies : •Stroke Alert, Cardiac Alert, Transfer process, conscious/moderate sedation, resuscitation, and many additional policies Any additional information that would entice a worker to select your unit for their assignment: Virtual registration, Lucas Device, Defibrillator, Baxter IV pumps, all equipment in good condition.
