This 3x12-hour position offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse patient population while enjoying the flexibility of a progressive healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in telemetry, proficient monitoring skills, and the ability to manage complex patient needs in an inpatient setting. Key Responsibilities: - Provide high-quality nursing care to a variety of patients with multiple co-morbidities, specializing in stroke (neuro) patient care.- Maintain patient safety and adhere to isolation precautions and wound care management protocols.- Administer medications and treatments, including blood products and intravenous therapy, while ensuring compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.- Monitor and interpret telemetry readings, both remotely and on the unit, to identify changes in patient conditions.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and pharmacy to foster comprehensive care.- Educate patients and their families about care plans, procedures, and health maintenance.- Float between various facilities as needed, providing flexibility and support to different healthcare teams. Qualifications: - Current and valid RN license.- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with a focus on telemetry and inpatient care.- Experience with EKG monitoring and a clear understanding of cardiac telemetry.- Proficiency in caring for patients requiring feeding tube management and central line care.- Familiarity with Epic electronic health record system.- BLS and NIHSS certifications required.- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on teamwork and collaboration. Schedule: - Night shift, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a commitment to work every other weekend and holidays as needed.
