The ideal candidate will have a strong clinical background, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit.- Monitor and assess patient conditions, administer medications, and perform relevant medical procedures.- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in accordance with facility protocols.- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding diagnoses and treatment plans.- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and safety. Qualifications: - Minimum of 18 months recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience, with previous permanent experience required before traveling.- Must possess a valid Ohio RN license or a compact state license.- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.- Willingness to obtain NIHSS certification prior to starting.- One recent reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty area is required for application.- Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition test and SafeMedicate assessment during orientation.- Experience with charge nursing responsibilities is a plus, along with familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
