This position offers the option of working either 36 or 48 hours per week, starting ASAP. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver high-quality nursing care to a diverse patient population, primarily adults and geriatrics.- Monitor patient conditions and assessments, ensuring a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:6.- Collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams including physical therapy, respiratory services, and social services to enhance patient outcomes.- Administer medications and perform various nursing procedures, maintaining adherence to hospital protocols.- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding care plans and treatments.- Float to similar units as required based on facility needs. Qualifications: - Current and valid RN license (NM or Compact) required at the time of submission.- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Medical/Surgical nursing role.- BLS certification required; CPI preferred.- Proficiency in care management including blood product administration, IV starts, and wound care.- Experience with the EPIC documentation system is advantageous. Additional Information: - Weekend commitment: 6 weekend shifts within a 6-week period.- Orientation will be provided along with brief training on the unit.- No local travelers will be accepted-candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility. Patient Care Focus: - Manage a daily census of 32 patients, ensuring safety and excellence in patient care.- Work collaboratively with rapid response teams and other healthcare professionals to deliver patient-centered care.
