Travel RN Job Details Location: Rome, NY 13440 (Central New York healthcare jobs) Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse Unit: Medical Surgical (Med/Surg RN) Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week Assignment Length: 13 weeks (8/25/2025 - 11/23/2025) Schedule: Every other weekend and holiday required Estimated Weekly Salary: $1990-$2130 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active New York State RN license (Registered Nurse NY) Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or Telemetry nursing experience (strong cardiac drip and tele strip skills preferred) Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification NIH Stroke Certification (required prior to start) Proficient IV skills; confident with cardiac drips, EKG interpretation, and advanced wound care Ability to float to other Medical Surgical units as needed Completion of 8 hours of CEUs during facility orientation Previous travel nursing experience preferred Med/Surg RN Responsibilities Provide comprehensive nursing care to diverse patients on a Medical Surgical unit Monitor and manage cardiac drips, interpret EKG/tele strips, and deliver advanced wound care Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 Float to other Med/Surg units as required for clinical support Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes Accurately document all patient care activities in a timely manner Participate in facility orientation and complete required continuing education (CEUs) Work every other weekend and holiday as scheduled Apply now to join our healthcare team as a Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse in Rome, NY, and take the next step in your nursing career!
