Travel RN - Med/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position in New York requiring BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and strong cardiac care skills.Job Details•Hospital setting in a Med/Surg Telemetry unit,•Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5,•Works primarily with medical-surgical and telemetry patients,•Strong IV skills and experience with cardiac drips are expected,•Ability to read EKG/tele strips is required,•All aspects of wound care included in responsibilities,•Floating to the Med/Surg unit is required,•Day shift, 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with every other weekend and holiday required,Job Requirements•Active New York State RN license required,•Current BLS and ACLS certifications required,•NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required before start,•Minimum of 2 years current RN experience, with consideration for less if proficient with Cardizem drips and telemetry,•Strong IV insertion and management skills required,•Confident in titrating cardiac drips and interpreting telemetry,Additional Information•Completion of 8 hours of CEUs is required as part of orientation,•COVID-19 vaccine documentation required if vaccinated; declination accepted if not,•Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required,•Travel experience is preferred but not required,),•hash,:•5215723727014644640,
