VP Real Estate Attorney
Our Radnor area client is seeking a VP Real Estate Attorney to join their organization.
This role is part of small collaborative team, with focus on transactional real estate, setting up funds, side letters, and reading LPAs.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to prepare, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements related to the organizations’ owned real estate assets (lease agreements, amendments, and proposals, brokerage and listing agreements, commencement memos, landlord lien subordination agreements, etc.)
- Safeguarding and advancing organizational interests through preparation, review, negotiation, and approval of commercial agreements
- Collaborating with operational teams on legal matters resolutions and providing legal guidance on operational policies
- Advising on real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing; responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, development and joint venture agreements, closing documents, estoppels, and SNDAs, and performing due diligence materials review and evaluation
- Supporting asset management activities by preparing and managing legal documentation, including property management agreements, easements, declarations, access agreements, and tenant notices
- Providing legal counsel to the executive team on a variety of corporate matters
Requirements:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required; must be an active member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar.
- Ability to obtain Pennsylvania in-house counsel certification if not already admitted to practice in Pennsylvania
- 5+ years of large law firm or corporate in-house legal department experience, with a strong focus on negotiating and drafting commercial real estate agreements
