VP Real Estate Attorney

Our Radnor area client is seeking a VP Real Estate Attorney to join their organization.


This role is part of small collaborative team, with focus on transactional real estate, setting up funds, side letters, and reading LPAs.


Responsibilities:

  • Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to prepare, review, and negotiate a wide range of agreements related to the organizations’ owned real estate assets (lease agreements, amendments, and proposals, brokerage and listing agreements, commencement memos, landlord lien subordination agreements, etc.)
  • Safeguarding and advancing organizational interests through preparation, review, negotiation, and approval of commercial agreements
  • Collaborating with operational teams on legal matters resolutions and providing legal guidance on operational policies
  • Advising on real estate transactions including acquisitions, dispositions, development, and financing; responsibilities include drafting, reviewing, and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, development and joint venture agreements, closing documents, estoppels, and SNDAs, and performing due diligence materials review and evaluation
  • Supporting asset management activities by preparing and managing legal documentation, including property management agreements, easements, declarations, access agreements, and tenant notices
  • Providing legal counsel to the executive team on a variety of corporate matters


Requirements:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school required; must be an active member in good standing of at least one U.S. state bar.
  • Ability to obtain Pennsylvania in-house counsel certification if not already admitted to practice in Pennsylvania
  • 5+ years of large law firm or corporate in-house legal department experience, with a strong focus on negotiating and drafting commercial real estate agreements

The specific compensation for this role will be determined based on the education, experience, location and skill set of the individual selected for this position.
