Job Description
American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist experienced in both CT and X-ray for weekend day shifts, requiring ARRT certification and BLS.
Responsibilities Work in an acute care setting within the Imaging Services department specializing in CT and X-rayShift schedule is Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PMCoverage includes ER, inpatient, and outpatient exams as well as portable, stroke, and trauma studiesDepartment features 1 CT scanner, 2 X-ray rooms, 1 portable X-ray, 1 ultrasound, and 1 Dexa scannerTypical daily volume is approximately 5-10 CT scans, 8-10 ultrasounds, and 10-15 X-raysUses EPIC EMR and McKesson/Change Healthcare PACS; experience preferredSiemens CT and X-ray, Philips X-ray equipment are utilizedDepartment may require floating to cover other areas, though this is rare and disclosed at interviewNo on-call requirementsOrientation provided over 1-3 days, with extension as neededResponsibilities include performing general, portable, trauma, and stroke imaging as well as assisting ER and outpatient examsProtocol book is available for reference along with doctor preferencesSupport provided by a lead tech, a manager, and a medical imaging educator during onboardingTeam-based environment with two techs on day shift and direct managerial supportNo requirement to cover operating room or fluoroscopy casesNo specific scrub color required
