Accounting Clerk III

The Accounting Clerk III performs duties involving totaling, balancing, and reconciling bank statements. Prepares and maintains delinquent document list, answering multi-line phone, support customer service, requires an understanding of terminology of the office unit. Works closely with Administrative Office (Lead) to ensure document control and resolve issue. Responsibilities This position description is subject to change at any time as needed to meet the requirements of the program or company. Major Job Activities: Totaling, balancing, and reconciling bank statements in Syncada/Visa Payment Manager System/TPPS (Third Party Payment Systems). Assist with clerical tasks to support customer service, which includes maintaining accurate filing systems. Perform final (QC) check on all documents processed. Examines, verifies, and/or corrects accounting transactions to ensure completeness and accuracy of data. Examines, verifies, and/or corrects accounting transactions to ensure proper identification of accounts Maintain and review accuracy of reports prior to submission Maintain Syncada account and review accounting reports for accuracy prior to payment. Job duties and responsibilities may change due to contractual requirements. Performs other duties as assigned to meet organizational/operational objectives. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications: Education/Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be able to pass the standard background check. Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen. Must have a valid REAL ID State Driver's License with no restrictions. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC). Must be able to obtain and maintain a NACI Tier 1 Public Trust. Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship, such as a birth certificate or a U.S. Passport. Must be able to maintain driving privileges aboard the Fort Bragg Installation. Experience: Transportation experience preferred. Ability to work independently or in a team-based, high collaborative environment. Specific contractual requirements regarding education and experience prevail where applicable. Skills: Proficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Familiarity with Defense Transportation Regulation covering Cargo movement Ability to work independently with little direction or supervision. Ability to prioritize and multi-task under short deadlines. Effective organizational, analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
