Job Description Reporting to the Sr. Director of Viral Hepatitis, Global Medical Affairs, this role is a key position within the Global Liver Inflammation, Virology, and Established Products (LIVE) Team. It is within the LIFE (Liver, Inflammation, Fibrosis, and Established Products) Medical Affairs organization. This global role involves developing and executing strategies for products in the LIVE franchise, requiring a self-starter capable of leading both strategic and tactical activities. The role offers opportunities to collaborate across viral hepatitis and potentially other LIVE therapeutic areas as needed. The main functions include collaborating with internal and external stakeholders such as Medical Affairs teams, Scientific Publications, Marketing, Global Commercial Strategy, Value and Market Access, Clinical Research, Public and Government Affairs, Legal, and others on global and regional levels. Specific Job Requirements Deep subject matter expertise regarding LIVE products, Client pipeline, and competitors. Preparing presentation materials for meetings, including Advisory Boards. Serving as an informational resource and trainer for colleagues, supporting medical education, grants, and collaborative studies. Supporting data generation activities, including reviewing study proposals, managing Phase IV portfolios, and reviewing abstracts/manuscripts. Supporting the management of Phase IV studies and documentation. Contributing as a Medical Affairs expert on publication and scientific message committees. Providing scientific support at key meetings. Assisting project leads with planning and tracking projects. Overseeing review of promotional materials. Supporting budget tracking and invoicing for the franchise. Other activities to support LIVE Medical Affairs. Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Experience in public health or Internal Medicine is highly desirable. Experience in scientific communication and presenting at meetings. Knowledge of regulatory requirements, FDA regulations, ICH guidelines, and GCPs. Ability to work independently, across time zones, and travel as needed. Knowledge, Experience & Skills Bachelor’s degree minimum; MD, D.O., PhD, or PharmD preferred. Experience in hepatology, infectious diseases, or virology is a plus. Preferred experience in Medical Affairs and clinical research, including managing Phase IIIb and IV studies. Seniority level
