Job Description
As the Assistant Manager at our Valley Fair Mall store, you will be a key leader in launching and growing Corsair’s inaugural retail location. Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will leverage Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to provide direction, analyze sales trends, and uncover what customers want, enabling you to make strategic pivots that drive sales results. This in-person role blends data-driven leadership with hands-on coaching and roleplaying to develop a top-tier sales team, ensuring exceptional customer experiences and the achievement of ambitious sales goals. You’ll collaborate with marketing, operations, and cross-functional teams to shape the store’s success and establish a dynamic retail presence for Corsair.
Key Responsibilities
Drive sales through data: Use KPIs to monitor performance, identify sales trends and customer preferences, and implement strategic pivots to optimize results and meet targets.
Coach and develop the team: Lead roleplaying scenarios to simulate customer interactions, improving the team’s ability to close sales, handle objections, and deliver outstanding service; provide actionable feedback to refine skills.
Lead daily operations: Assist the General Manager in overseeing store operations, including staff scheduling, task delegation, and enforcing policies to ensure smooth execution and high team morale.
Set the standard: Model best-in-class sales techniques and customer engagement on the floor, inspiring the team to elevate their performance.
Train and mentor: Equip new and existing team members with Corsair product knowledge, advanced sales strategies, and customer service excellence to build a high-performing team.
Collaborate with marketing: Support in-store promotions, product launches, and events to boost brand visibility and drive traffic and sales.
Partner with operations: Work with supply chain and merchandising teams to maintain inventory levels, resolve logistical issues, and create a seamless shopping experience.
Shape the store’s identity: Contribute to establishing processes, workflows, and a vibrant team culture that reflects Corsair’s passion for gaming and innovation.
Handle administrative duties: Assist with reporting, budgeting, and compliance tasks to support the General Manager and maintain store standards.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 4-6 years of retail sales experience, with 2-3 years in a supervisory or leadership role, demonstrating success in driving sales through coaching and data analysis.
Strong analytical skills to interpret KPIs, sales data, and customer insights.
Expertise in coaching, roleplaying, and providing feedback to develop sales talent.
Excellent communication and leadership skills to motivate and guide a team.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, hands-on retail environment.
Passion: Deep enthusiasm for gaming, technology, and the Corsair brand.
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in gaming or tech retail is a strong advantage.
For roles that are based at our headquarters in Milpitas, CA: The starting base pay for this position is as shown below. The actual base pay is dependent upon a variety of job-related factors such as professional background, training, work experience, location, business needs and market demand. Therefore, in some circumstances, the actual salary could fall outside of this expected range. This pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.
Hourly Salary Range: $38—$44 USD
