We believe that the most interesting problems in deep learning research arise when we try to apply learning to real-world use cases, and this is also where the most important breakthroughs come from. You will work with a close-knit and fast-growing team of world-class engineers and scientists to tackle some of the most challenging problems in foundation models and deep learning, including natural language processing, multi-modal understanding, and combining learning with knowledge. You will have opportunities to identify and develop novel applications of deep learning in Apple products. Your ideas may be published in papers and can significantly improve the experience of millions of users. Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in deep learning with a publication record in relevant conferences (e.g., NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, ICCV, ECCV, KDD, ACL, ICASSP, InterSpeech) or practical experience applying deep learning techniques to products. Proficient programming skills in Python and familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as JAX, PyTorch, or TensorFlow. PhD or equivalent practical experience in Computer Science or related technical fields. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with human-like conversational agents. Knowledge of multi-modal perception for products and hardware platforms. Experience with on-device intelligence, learning, and privacy protections. Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment. At Apple, base pay is part of a total compensation package and depends on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. The salary range for this role is between $139,500 and $258,100. Employees may also participate in stock programs, receive benefits such as medical, dental, retirement, discounts, educational reimbursement, and may be eligible for bonuses, commissions, or relocation assistance.
