Location: San Jose, California
Duties:
Litigate and defend employment-related lawsuits and agency charges
Provide legal advice, counseling, and training to employers on labor and employment law topics
Represent employers in court, arbitrations, mediations, and before administrative agencies
Handle matters involving wage and hour issues, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, contracts, employment torts, non-compete agreements, and class/collective actions
Engage in legal research, case preparation, and strategic litigation planning
Class Action and PAGA experience preferred but not required
Requirements:
4–6 years of relevant legal experience, preferably in employment law
Strong knowledge of state and federal agency procedures
Demonstrated ability to manage a full caseload independently
Proven commitment to professionalism, collegiality, and effective teamwork
Must be eligible to work in the United States
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an ABA-accredited law school
Strong academic credentials required
Certifications:
Active California Bar membership in good standing
Skills:
Excellent legal writing and oral advocacy skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
