WHAT YOU WILL DO : Direct underwriting strategy, process, planning, reporting, forecasting, business development, and innovation for the Cyber insurance book of business. Underwrite, price, and negotiate risks aligned with Relm’s risk appetite to ensure profitability, retention, and premium goals are met. Provide leadership, mentorship, and management to the underwriting team, fostering a high-performance culture and supporting growth, training, and development of junior staff. Draft and negotiate policy and endorsement wording. Develop relationships with brokers and policyholders to establish new distribution channels and sales opportunities. Represent the company at industry conferences, as needed. Collaborate with colleagues to achieve company goals and promote cross-selling. Support strategic underwriting planning with effective management information to evaluate the portfolio. Ensure compliance with all underwriting and regulatory standards and legal requirements. Participate in ad-hoc projects to contribute to Relm’s growth and continuous improvement. REQUIREMENTS WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE : Minimum of 10 years of Cyber insurance underwriting and/or broking experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, cyber security, computer science, insurance, actuarial science, or related field. Strong relationships with key US and UK wholesale and retail brokers. Recognition as a thought leader in the cyber insurance market. Experience with policy and endorsement wording negotiation, drafting, and preparation. Exceptional organizational and time management skills. Strong leadership qualities and ability to build camaraderie in a global team. Creative problem-solving skills and critical thinking. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Confident communicator, capable of conveying messages clearly and persuasively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Mac OS is a plus. Excellent interpersonal skills, comfortable leading client and broker meetings. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic. Willingness to work outside core hours and travel as needed. NICE TO HAVE : Experience managing and underwriting a primary book of business. Data analytics skills in MS Excel or Power BI. Professional underwriting designations such as RPLU, CPCU, ACII, AU, or similar. Interest in Web3, Digital Assets, Blockchain, AI, or Financial Markets.
