is seeking a talented
Network Architect
to join our team in
Dallas, Texas . The
Network Architect
will provide technical leadership, develop solutions, create roadmaps, and build vendor relations. This role ensures optimal performance, security, and cost-efficiency across our networks, oversees project compliance, and drives automation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Serve as the expert in all networking aspects of Trinity Industries IT Operations. Work with management to optimize network services and costs. Design and lead installation, troubleshooting, and outage resolution of network infrastructure. Maintain network security boundaries, firewalls (Firepower, Fortigate), IDS/IPS, and defenses against cyber threats. Develop and monitor system performance metrics, network maps, and inventory of hardware/software. Create and test disaster recovery and incident response plans. Perform capacity planning, tuning, and develop standards for network infrastructure. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in IT or Computer Science preferred. 8+ years of network engineering and leadership experience. Cisco Certified (CCNP+) or Fortinet Certified (FCSS+) preferred. Hands-on automation experience using scripting languages (Python preferred). Experience with network protocols, security assessments, and cloud networking. Additional Requirements: Extensive support and collaboration skills. Experience with SDWAN, BGP, OSPF, VLAN, VXLAN, Firewalls, Load balancers, Cisco UC, Video services, Data center networking, Azure, Wireless tech, and vendor management. Ability to troubleshoot complex internet applications and cloud interfaces. Deep understanding of network protocols and security controls. Experience with cryptography, virtualization, and automation tools. EOE Statement
