This role will focus on formula and component assessment, color matching, and vendor collaboration to bring innovative products to market. You'll work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure products meet brand standards for quality, performance, and aesthetics. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Support product development across multiple categories (e.g., eye, lip) in partnership with the hiring manager. Evaluate formulas and components submitted by third-party vendors and provide clear, actionable feedback. Collaborate with vendors on formulation adjustments and refinements to meet performance and compliance standards. Select benchmarks and shade lineups, presenting them live to management, marketing, and cross-functional teams to ensure accurate color representation. Participate in seasonal, collaboration, and product brainstorm sessions to share and test new product concepts. Manage color-matching processes for every project, maintaining physical samples in-office for comparison and approval (shade approvals, MPLs, PPAs, etc.). Distribute samples internally and present projects to senior stakeholders, including the Brand President and SVP of Marketing. Oversee shipment receiving from and sending to vendors, ensuring timely handling and proper documentation. Must-Have Requirements Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or a related field. Hands-on product development experience, ideally in cosmetics or personal care. Strong communication skills to work effectively with vendors and cross-functional teams (including non-native English speakers). Ability to manage formulation submissions, provide feedback, and handle reformulation needs as required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. Nice-to-Have Requirements Familiarity with packaging artwork development, including tracking budgets, conducting artwork status meetings, and managing timelines. Experience collaborating with marketing and design teams to align on product aesthetics and branding. Knowledge of cosmetic compliance standards and industry regulations.
