Accounts Receivable Specialist Overview The Accounts Receivable Specialist receives, verifies and accurately records payments in accordance with accounting policies and procedures. Verify accuracy of Night Audit work i.e. reconciliation of banquet check extensions, coding of banquets at cost, review and route sales and promotion checks with back-up. Post ledger payments, reconcile and bill accounts. Perform follow-up billing, collection documentation, and inform management of potential uncollectible accounts. Reconcile credit card back up and inform management of any discrepancies. Bill out credit cards (AMEX, MC, VISA etc.). Set up new accounts in accordance with policies and procedures. Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned. Qualifications High school education or equivalent experience. Accounting background and familiarity with hospitality industry practices mandatory. Previous experience with airlines billing mandatory. Bilingual a plus.
