Parachute Bakery is hiring a Bakery & Cafe Manager
Parachute Bakery, a new all-day bakery and café opening in San Francisco’s Ferry Building, is led by Executive Pastry Chef Nasir Armar. It features seasonal, house-made pastries, breads, confections, retail goods, cold-pressed juices, seasonal offerings, and an espresso bar focused on quality and precision.
We seek a motivated and experienced Bakery & Cafe Manager to oversee daily operations, lead a talented team, and ensure an exceptional guest experience. This role offers a unique opportunity to help launch a new concept with a creative team in an iconic location.
The Bakery & Cafe Manager, reporting to the Director of Operations, will be responsible for:
Hiring, training, scheduling, and mentoring front-of-house café staff
Creating a warm, guest-focused environment while maintaining operational excellence
Managing payroll, tip distribution, and cash handling in compliance with regulations
Monitoring P&L and sales reports, meeting sales and labor targets
Overseeing inventories, ordering, and vendor relationships
Maintaining high standards for coffee service and supporting the espresso program
Coordinating with the bakery team for smooth production and service
Managing reservation and pre-order systems, guest communications, and occasional events

Required Experience :
1–3 years of café, bakery, or all-day concept management in a high-profile setting
Strong coffee knowledge and barista experience
Experience in scheduling, hiring, and managing a team
Proven ability to manage hospitality and retail service aspects
