Primary Responsibilities Responsible for information gathering on the child and building an in depth history of the case to seek out all potential matches for the child. Ensure all contacts, documentation, reviews, reports and all other required items are up to date. Adhere to the Wendy’s Wonderful Recruiter Child-Focused Recruitment Strategy Assess the child’s strengths, challenges, desires, and preparedness for adoption. Ensure that a plan is developed to work with the youth on the challenges and follow the youth’s desires for a match Develop a comprehensive recruitment plan based on audits, file reviews, and interviews Ensure transition planning is complete and that both the child and family are prepared for the adoption finalization Document all recruitment efforts in Child Trends through Wendy’s Wonderful Kids Complete bi-annual report for Wendy’s Wonderful Kids to include statistical information to reflect the population served along with narratives to highlight successful matches. Advocate for a diverse population of resources for the children in the community Complete agency required reporting on a quarterly basis to include additional statistical information Other duties as assigned Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience in social work or other human services field. Adoption experience preferred Must have computer skills and proficiency in Word and Excel Valid New York State Driver’s License Must have excellent communication skills and customer service and sensitivity to the needs of persons with disabilities Ability to multi-task and be detail oriented, ability to work independently and be an enthusiastic team player. Must have a high degree of discretion dealing with confidential information Ability to effectively work with individuals from a diverse array of cultural backgrounds, beliefs, customs, and lifestyles Preferred Qualifications
