Title: Ink Technician
Location: Arden Hills, MN

Position Summary:
The Ink Technician is responsible for producing high-quality blended inks that meet customer specifications using an Ink Management system. This hands-on role focuses on accurate color matching, timely delivery of press-ready inks, and maintaining organized, efficient, and safe work areas in alignment with quality and production standards.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate within the Ink Management system to produce inks customized for customer processes.
  • Weigh, blend, and deliver press-ready inks to customer equipment while maintaining quality standards.
  • Perform precise color matching and ink formulation based on production schedules.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including records of color matches, ink adjustments, returns, and complaints.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized to support safety and operational efficiency.
  • Adhere to all required personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Decision-Making Responsibilities:
  • Verify that final ink blends meet required specifications before delivery.
  • Select appropriate raw materials and assess the suitability of inks for new formulations.
  • Evaluate the condition and usability of returned inks for recycling.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; coursework in chemistry or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience in ink formulation, blending, or a related field is a plus but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Comfort working with chemicals in a production environment.
Skills and Certifications:
  • Understanding safety protocols related to handling chemicals and operating machinery.
  • Ensuring precision in measurements and color matching.
  • Understanding the properties of inks and their components, including pigments, solvents, and additives.
