QA/QC Associate
Shift:
Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (occasional Sunday rotation) Compensation:
$18-21/hour Type : Direct Hire
Position Overview
Are you a recent graduate looking to launch your career in food manufacturing? We're seeking a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our quality assurance team and help ensure the safety and excellence of our food products. This is an excellent opportunity for someone new to the industry to gain hands-on experience in food safety, quality control, and manufacturing operations.
Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree in food science or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience. Laboratory testing background strongly preferred. Knowledge of HACCP and PCQI principles highly valued. Bilingual Spanish capabilities beneficial. Commitment to second shift schedule. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds regularly. Key Responsibilities
Quality Control & Testing
Perform daily laboratory analyses including pH, moisture content, water activity, and viscosity measurements. Conduct pre-operational and post-downtime equipment inspections using visual assessment and ATP testing methods. Execute temperature monitoring protocols for cooking and cooling processes. Coordinate microbiological sampling and preparation for external laboratory analysis. Production Support
Monitor active production lines for compliance with food safety protocols. Verify ingredient specifications against production formulas including weights, dates, and part numbers. Validate finished product labeling accuracy. Operate and troubleshoot metal detection equipment.
