Our client is a growing $45M+ General Contractor specializing in interior upgrades and tenant improvement projects across the Retail, Hospitality, Commercial, and Medical Office sectors. To support continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead a portfolio of high-profile projects with expertise in preconstruction, construction, and project closeout. This role offers hands-on leadership, strategic planning, and business development opportunities while ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. The position is based at the HQ in Petaluma, CA, with frequent travel to Southern California to oversee regional projects.

Your new role

Oversee complex and phased construction projects ranging from $500K to $10M Lead Superintendents, subcontractors, and inspectors to ensure seamless execution Manage project safety, budgeting, financial performance, and risk mitigation Facilitate bidding, negotiations, buyout processes, RFIs, and change orders Maintain strong relationships within the construction community for future business opportunities Utilize industry-leading software (Viewpoint, Procore, MS Project) for project tracking Travel regularly to Southern California for site visits, meetings, and project oversight (mostly day trips; occasional extended stays may be required) What you'll need to succeed

8-10+ years of construction project management experience Strong estimating, scheduling, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Viewpoint, and construction management software Exceptional communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities A strategic mindset with a focus on profitability and business growth Willingness and ability to travel frequently to Southern California
