The Associate Director of Student Engagement provides strategic leadership for key campus life initiatives that enhance student engagement, persistence, and retention. This role oversees major university traditions, including Community Fest, Homecoming, Festival of Nations, and the Student Awards Banquet, while also managing the university engagement calendar to ensure coordination of campus-wide programming. Additionally, the Associate Director leads family programming and manages the family newsletter, ensuring regular contributions from campus liaisons. This position serves as the technical expert for Corq/Engage and CampusESP, optimizing digital platforms to enhance student and family engagement. Working closely with the Director of Student and Family Engagement, this role also oversees budgets, data reporting, and assessment efforts to strengthen leadership development and community-building. This position fosters a collaborative and inclusive environment aligned with the universitys mission and strategic goals. Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills are essential for driving data-informed improvements in student engagement. Leadership, Planning, and Budget Management Drive strategic initiatives for Greek Life and SGA in collaboration with senior leadership to enhance the student experience. Lead the planning and execution of Homecoming Week as chair of the Homecoming Committee, ensuring innovative programming that fosters campus pride and tradition. Oversee the coordination and delivery of Community Fest as chair of the campus-wide committee, honoring the legacy of Barry founders and fostering campus connection.Lead and facilitate implementation of Student Government Association (SGA) Week. Lead the planning and execution of the Festival of Nations in partnership with campus stakeholders, promoting student involvement and fostering connections across the university. Co-chair the Student Leadership Awards Banquet committee, ensuring robust campus-wide representation and nominations for student leaders while managing event logistics. Serve as the budget manager for multiple department cost centers within Student and Family Engagement. Set strategic goals, track metrics, and lead assessments for quarterly and annual reports to improve student programming outcomes. Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff, including Graduate Assistants and Federal Work-Study students supporting Greek Life and SGA. Lead assessment and evaluation efforts related to Greek Life, SGA, and student programming. Participate in university-wide committees as assigned. Strategic Leadership and Family Engagement Initiatives Serve as the lead administrator for the Engage and Corq platforms, ensuring data accuracy, access, and training for all department users. Serve as Barrys CampusESP engagement representative, managing the family newsletter and ensuring vibrant parent and family engagement throughout the academic year. Oversee the campus-wide committee of representatives responsible for contributing to the family newsletter, ensuring regular and consistent updates from campus liaisons. Compile and analyze data to support strategic planning, quarterly reports, and annual reports. Lead the development of the university-wide student programming calendar, collaborating with departments to streamline event planning and communication. Provide strategic leadership for department initiatives, supporting the Director of Student and Family Engagement and driving a vision for student engagement aligned with the universitys mission and goals. Student Government Association (SGA) Oversight Serve as the primary advisor to the Student Government Association (SGA), providing support for executive board training, development, and elections. Oversee SGA-led campus initiatives, ensuring alignment with institutional mission and student needs. Direct and support student-led funding initiatives and budget allocations for student organizations and campus events. Manage and track SGA expenses, ensuring accurate reporting and alignment with budgetary guidelines. Partner with university departments to support the successful implementation of SGA-led initiatives and advocacy efforts. Ensure timely communication and support for SGA executive board meetings, general body meetings, and open forums. Commuter Student Engagement and Commuter Council Support Direct and guide the Commuter Student Council, ensuring alignment with university and student needs. Develop and execute resources, initiatives, and engagement strategies to support commuter student success. Analyze commuter student needs and create tailored strategies to foster community development and connection. Coordinate key university traditions and events (e.g., Community Fest) to ensure the inclusion and participation of commuter students. Greek Life Leadership Provide strategic leadership for Greek Life, ensuring compliance, recruitment, leadership development, and event planning that promotes service and campus collaboration. Direct recruitment and intake processes for Greek Life organizations, ensuring alignment with risk management protocols. Plan and execute Greek Life events, including step shows, awareness campaigns, and community service initiatives. Coordinate cross-collaboration between Greek Life and other student engagement units for large-scale campus events. Departmental Support Support department initiatives, including New Student Orientation, Parent and Family Events, Week of Welcome, Spring Fling, and other key campus programs. Collaborate with department staff to ensure the successful planning and execution of major events and initiatives that enhance the student experience. Perform other duties as assigned to advance the goals of the department and university. Requirements: Bachelor's degree. Masters preferred. Valid Drivers's License. Advanced Analytical skills. Advanced Project Management skills to coordinate student events. MS Office experience.
