Job Opportunity: Hematology/Oncology Physician - Wheaton, MD

Join a dynamic team at a prestigious cancer center in Wheaton, Maryland, where you will have the opportunity to provide exceptional care in both outpatient and inpatient settings. This outpatient practice operates 3-5 days a week, offering eight-hour shifts with the flexibility to accommodate a balanced work-life schedule. With a strong emphasis on collaborative care, the facility features a robust support system, including fellow oncologists and a dedicated nursing team. Job Responsibilities:
* Provide high-quality care in Hematology and Oncology, managing a diverse patient population, including adults and geriatrics. * Participate actively on the Tumor Board to discuss patient cases collaboratively. * Conduct necessary procedures, including chemotherapy administration (intracavitary and intrathecal), FNA/biopsies, and management of VAD/CV catheters. * Order diagnostic tests and images, prescribe treatment plans, and manage follow-up care. * Provide inpatient on-call coverage, approximately seven 24-hour shifts per month.
Qualifications:
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology (Required). * Active Maryland State License (Required at time of submission). * Active DEA and CDS licenses in Maryland (Required at time of submission). * BLS or ACLS certification (Required to obtain privileges). * Demonstrated capability in managing chronic care patients, with a patient volume of around 70-80 patients. * Ability to work in a bilingual environment is a plus, but not required, as interpreters are available.
License and Certification Requirements:
* Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology. * Active Maryland State Medical License. * Active DEA and CDS registrations. * BLS or ACLS certification.
