The Manager, Healthcare Programs will:

Perform as the Business Owner of the Provider Enrollment System, responsible for ensuring vendor adheres to contract Service Level Agreements, enhancements timeliness, approval of deliverables and invoices; Review weekly and monthly reports from Provider Enrollment System to validate system effectiveness in enrolling Providers as Medicaid Providers ; Field individual questions from new providers attempting to onboard as Medicaid Providers; Meet regularly with professional organizations on provider issues with enrollment and billing; Work with the Provider Network and Relations Team to provide outstanding customer service to the New Mexico Provider Community. How does it get done?

The Manager, Healthcare Programs is responsible for: Supervising the position(s) responsible for assisting providers in enrolling as Medicaid Providers and any administrative/other staff related duties; Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships between providers, Managed Care Organizations (MCOs), and internal and external stakeholders; Evaluating and planning short- and long-term goals, as well as determining strategies to successfully meet expected outcomes of the Provider Enrollment System; Determining resources required to meet program objectives requiring anticipation of and possible resolutions to barriers, setbacks, and challenges; Directing and guiding staff to meet the intended goals of the program; Other duties as assigned to support the NM Medicaid provider enrollment process. Internal and External Stakeholders throughout The Health Care Authority (HCA); Managed Care Organizations (MCOs); Medicaid Providers; Office of the Secretary (OOS) for HCA. Ideal Candidate

The Ideal Candidate has:

Experience with customer service in the healthcare or insurance industry; Experience with healthcare administration; Experience with Medicaid and/or health care programs; Experience working with multiple stakeholders; Ability to prioritize and handle critical projects simultaneously; Experience managing and supervising personnel; Familiarity with insurance policies, claims processing, and provider contracts; Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Minimum Qualification

Associate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Statistics, Finance, or a related field and five (5) years of experience with a public assistance program, medical, healthcare, educational, or state facility working with policies and procedures, conducting analysis/research, providing or requesting information from the general public, working with communities, working on health or social service related matters, social work/case management, behavioral health, and/or health care. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling seven (7) years may substitute for the required education and experience.

Employment Requirements

Must possess and maintain valid drivers license.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in an office setting with exposure to Visual/Video Display Terminal (VDT), extensive personal computer and phone usage.
