Position Overview We are seeking a highly motivated
Senior Civil Engineer
to lead the planning, design, and management of water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This individual will be responsible for both technical execution and business development—working closely with municipal clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary project teams to ensure successful project outcomes from concept to completion. The ideal candidate will bring strong engineering acumen, client-facing experience, and a desire to mentor junior staff while advancing into a strategic leadership role. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the design of water and wastewater treatment facilities and linear pipeline infrastructure
Collaborate with internal teams—including engineers, planners, landscape architects, and surveyors—to prepare master plans, construction documents, cost estimates, and technical reports
Provide engineering design services and perform calculations for treatment systems and conveyance networks
Develop Basis of Design Reports that meet regulatory standards and client expectations
Coordinate with permitting agencies, utility providers, and stakeholders to move projects toward approval
Review and update technical specifications, ensuring quality, constructability, and compliance
Assist in preparing Statements of Qualifications, proposals, and fee estimates alongside the marketing and project management teams
Support project managers in delivering high-quality, cost-effective, and timely engineering solutions
Present project updates to clients, stakeholders, and the public as needed
Actively contribute to business development and client relationship management in the municipal sector
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline (ABET-accredited)
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license
Proven experience in water/wastewater infrastructure projects for municipal clients
Strong understanding of regulatory permitting, design standards, and approval processes
Excellent communication skills, including public speaking and client interaction
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
High ethical standards, strong work ethic, and self-motivation
Desire to mentor, train, and lead engineering staff in a consulting environment
Preferred Software Proficiency Autodesk Civil 3D
