Industrial Electrical Technician 1st Shift Manteno, IL
Major Function:
The Industrial Electrical Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of electrical systems and equipment within our food manufacturing facility. This position involves the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical components to support the continuous production of high-quality food products.
Technical Skills: . Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals. . Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including AC/DC motors, control circuits, and power distribution. .Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and repair (Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.). . Familiarity with VFDs, HMIs, and other automation components. . Skilled in using electrical testing equipment, such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and insulation testers.
Safety Equipment Required: . Lab Coats (Company Provided) . Safety footwear (closed, slip resistant). . Latex gloves (Company Provided) . Hearing Protection as needed (Company Provided) . Other Equipment as determined by position
Qualifications: . High school diploma or equivalent required . Associate's degree in Electrical Technology or a related field preferred. . Completion of a recognized electrical apprenticeship program or technical training. . Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Industrial Electrical Technician, preferably in a food manufacturing environment.
Physical Demand:
- Ability to stand and walk for 8-10 hours minimum. - Ability to lift up to 70lb.
