Company Insight: This leading global market maker is growing its alternative data effort, leveraging this in a way it hasnt been used before by exploring how alt data analysis and sophisticated data science techniques can be applied to trading. Data scientists work closely with quant researchers, engineers and traders to develop scalable models that directly impact trading performance. With a strong culture of experimentation, rigorous validation, and rapid iteration, the firm offers a highly technical, high-impact environment for those interested in applying data science to some of the most complex and dynamic problems in global finance. Your Role: Analyse complex datasets to extract valuable insights, build predictive models, and inform strategic business decisions. Conduct thorough data analysis and create visualisations to understand data patterns and trends. Develop and implement ML models to predict outcomes and optimise business processes. Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses and validate model performance. Present findings and insights to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner. Experience/Skills Required: Bachelors degree in a quantitative field from a top university. Strong programming skills, proficiency in SQL and Python required. Experience in analyzing complex data sets and research experience with alternative data. Minimum 2 years of experience in a hedge fund or bank. Solid understanding of statistical methods and their application in data analysis.
