Adelphi is seeking a physician to provide services at state facilities in Missouri. The physician will be responsible for conducting patient assessments and formulating suitable treatment plans. They should have the ability to analyze and evaluate the practices, techniques, and treatment procedures employed in a particular medical specialty for effectiveness.
We are looking for a full-time primary care physician that is licensed as an independent practitioner and does not require a collaborator.

Requirements
• Active, unrestricted Missouri medical license.
• Licensed as an independent practitioner with no collaborator requirement.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Primary Care or Internal Medicine.
• BLS certification.
• Experience with adult and geriatric populations preferred.
• Knowledge of general and chronic medical conditions common in long-term psychiatric care.
• Ability to work collaboratively with psychiatric and multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
• Provide primary medical care to long-term psychiatric inpatients (approximately assigned, usually seeing fewer than 10 per day).
• Diagnose, treat, and manage chronic conditions across a wide age range (young adults to elderly).
• Develop and maintain long-term treatment relationships with assigned patients.
• Participate in treatment planning alongside other physicians, nurse practitioners, and behavioral health staff.
• Complete documentation according to facility and state medical policies.
• Coordinate care with specialty providers as needed.
• Participate in discharge planning with attention to continuity of care.
