• Current CPR certification (must remain valid throughout the assignment)
• Must complete all required onboarding, background checks, and training mandated by the agency and facility
• Must be capable of independent clinical decision-making and judgment
Responsibilities:
• Provide primary and specialized care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• Participate in interdisciplinary treatment team planning and advocate for patient medical needs
• Order, conduct, and interpret diagnostic tests and clinical evaluations
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions (e.g., hypertension, asthma, diabetes, heart disease, arthritis)
• Prescribe medications, therapies, immunizations, and other treatments
• Educate patients and caregivers on health maintenance, hygiene, and disease prevention
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation in compliance with HHSC and facility standards
• Ensure compliance with Medicaid, Medicare, CMS guidelines, and internal directives
