Are you a driven, hands-on business development and capture professional with a passion for national security and government contracting? Orbis is seeking a Senior Business Development / Capture Director to lead strategic growth efforts across the Intelligence Community (IC). This role is ideal for a self-starter with a deep understanding of federal procurement and a demonstrated track record of identifying, capturing, and winning high-value government contracts.
Reporting directly to the Chief Growth Officer, this individual will be responsible for leading the full capture lifecycle—from opportunity identification to proposal submission and contract award. This is a high-impact role with significant influence on how Orbis expands its presence across key federal intelligence agencies.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead business development and capture initiatives targeting Intelligence Community agencies.
- Identify, shape, and qualify opportunities that align with Orbis' mission, capabilities, and growth goals.
- Manage the full capture lifecycle, including pipeline development, teaming strategies, proposal development, and pricing coordination.
- Develop and execute opportunity-specific pursuit plans to improve win rates in both competitive and sole-source environments.
- Leverage procurement tools (e.g., SAM.gov) and professional networks (e.g., LinkedIn, industry events) to build and maintain a robust opportunity pipeline.
- Lead or support the development of compliant and compelling responses to RFPs, RFIs, and Sources Sought notices.
- Partner with internal stakeholders—operations, legal, finance, and technical teams—to create persuasive and responsive proposals.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with government stakeholders, program managers, and industry teaming partners.
- Stay current on FAR / DFARS regulations and contracting trends impacting the Intelligence Community.
- Represent Orbis at key industry events and conferences (e.g., AFCEA, INSA) to enhance visibility and engagement.
