POSITION SUMMARY:

Under the supervision of the Vice President Supply Chain Operations, this position is responsible for oversight of various operational aspects of the health system supply chain to include procurement, warehousing, distribution, inventory control, vendor management, freight, safety, product recalls, and budgetary management.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:

  • Provides oversight to supply chain operations at all health system campuses; implements and maintains robust inventory controls across inpatient and ambulatory environments.

  • Develops and implements long-term supply chain strategies aligned with company goals.

  • Uses key performance metrics to inform strategic decision-making; uses data to set targets and measure results.

  • Fosters a success-oriented, accountability driven environment with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Motivates and leads diverse teams; attracts, recruits, and retains talent; provides mentoring as a cornerstone to career development.

  • Leads and oversees initiatives aimed at increasing efficiency, lowering the cost of service, and optimizing inventory, distribution and procurement strategies to ensure resilience.

  • Responsible for compliance with all Federal, State and Local laws, regulations and rules; compliance with all accreditation standards and knowledge of and adherence to all policies and procedures of the organization and department.

  • Responsible for the creation and maintenance of a healthy work environment where people feel supported, held accountable, where standards are applied and expectations are clear.

Job Requirements

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or other related

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Association for Supply Chain Management CPIM, CSCP, CLTD; Institute for Supply Management CPSM; or similar certification preferred

EXPERIENCE:

  • 10+ years logistics, inventory management, or procurement experience; healthcare setting preferred

  • 7+ years supervisory experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSA):

  • Ability to manage budgets, analyze cost-effectiveness, and ensure financial goals are met.

  • Extensive knowledge of procurement, inventory management, forecasting, warehouse operations and logistics including current trends.

  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrated competence in ERP systems.

  • Knowledge of process improvement methodologies; Lean or Six Sigma training desired.
