Role: Senior Associate - Healthcare Growth Equity

About the Role:
Our client, a leading healthcare-focused growth equity firm based in San Francisco, is seeking a highly motivated Senior Associate to join its investment team. With over $1.5B in AUM and more than 50 years of combined experience in healthcare investing, the firm offers a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully to investment decisions and portfolio success. Key Responsibilities:
- Support the sourcing, evaluation & execution of investments in healthcare-focused venture capital and growth equity funds, portfolios, and direct company interests.
- Collaborate closely with Vice Presidents, Principals, and Partners throughout the full investment lifecycle, including due diligence, financial modeling, deal execution, and portfolio management.
- Conduct deep-dive research into healthcare markets, companies, and investment themes across sectors such as Medical Devices, Biopharma, Diagnostics/Tools, Digital Health, Healthcare IT & Services.
- Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders, including founders, fund managers, and strategic operators.
- Assist in the preparation of investment memos and presentation materials for the Investment Committee.
About the Candidate:
- 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, growth equity, private equity or venture capital.
- Demonstrated interest in & familiarity with the healthcare sector.
- Strong analytical capabilities with experience in financial modeling, valuation, and due diligence.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present insights effectively.
- Undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution; backgrounds in science, engineering, or other technical disciplines are a plus.
- Self-starter with a collaborative mindset, low ego, and strong attention to detail.
