**Position Description:**
Reporting to department chairs, this role provides administrative support to the Physics & Electrical and Computer Engineering departments, contributing to a student-centered, creative team environment.
**Essential Functions:**
- Provide general administrative support, including report and spreadsheet generation, data entry, scheduling, and room reservations.
- Assist with strategic initiatives like recruitment and outreach.
- Support faculty teaching activities, including procurement and classroom needs.
- Facilitate course evaluations and maintain departmental content online.
- Coordinate departmental events and maintain files and records.
- Assist with hiring processes and onboarding.
- Support faculty research activities and manage student data.
- Support advisory board activities, including meeting minutes and communication.
**Budget Oversight:**
- Track and reconcile departmental budgets, manage purchases, and maintain financial records.
**Academic Support:**
- Assist with registration, scheduling, and curriculum management.
- Enter course descriptions and manage scheduling details.
- Proctor exams as needed.
**Reception Duties:**
- Provide front desk services, interacting with students, faculty, and visitors.
- Assist with campus logistics and facilities repairs.
**Qualifications:**
- High School diploma or GED with 2+ years of administrative experience or equivalent.
- Proficiency in MS Office, website maintenance, and effective communication skills.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity and university values.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Bachelors degree.
- Experience in an academic environment.
