Role Overview:

Beehive Industries is searching for a qualified candidate to fill an open position for a Sr. CNC Machinist/Programmer. This position is intended for a self-driven professional looking to expand their abilities to include machining consumable goods for the DMLS process as well as metal 3D printed components.

Responsibilities:

  1. Setup and run 3-axis and 5-axis CNC vertical machining centers and CMM equipment
  2. Develop machining fixtures for complex aerospace components
  3. Program CNC equipment on-line and off-line
  4. Quote machining work for internal and external customers
  5. Maintain accurate and legible records of production work and results
  6. Uphold a high degree of work-area cleanliness (daily and weekly) and organization
  7. Explore opportunities to add value to the organization
  8. Perform preventative and proactive maintenance on various shop equipment
  9. Understand and identify EH&S hazards, risks, and controls of the machine shop operations and activities at the site
  10. Ensure full compliance with EHS and Quality requirements
  11. Allocate tooling to be ordered for jobs

Requirements:
  1. 4+ years of CNC machining experience in turbo machinery components
  2. Experience machining castings, forging, or 3D printed hardware using 5 axis CNC and EDM machines
  3. U.S. citizenship is required due to Department of Defense contract requirements
  4. High School Diploma
  5. Experience in SolidCAM, MasterCam, or NX PowerMill
  6. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and Microsoft Office (2 years programming experience)
  7. Strong technical skills in GD&T & blueprints
  8. Strong experience with turning/lathes
  9. Some experience working with Heat Resistant Super Alloys (Nickel Alloys)
  10. Experience with OKUMA and Makinomulti-axis CNC equipment preferred
  11. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, communication, and teamwork skills
  12. Exposure to working within facility quality systems and codes (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100)

Physical Requirements:
  1. Remain in a standing or sitting stationary position for 3-4 hours per day (1-2 hours at one time)
  2. Move about 3-4 hours per day (1-2 hours at one time)
  3. Frequently lift or carry objects between 26 45 pounds
  4. Frequently push or pull objects between 26-45 pounds
  5. Frequently reach at or below shoulder level and occasionally reach overhead
  6. Frequently use hands and fingers to handle or operate objects, tools, or controls
  7. Occasionally bend, stoop, or twist
  8. Occasionally crouch, kneel, and squat
  9. Frequently keyboard
  10. Effectively communicate in person and via telephone or other electronic devices

In compliance with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this position is $39.00-$47.00 base salary. Please note that wage information is a general guideline only, and we will consider factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidates work experience, education/training, key skills, and market conditions when extending an offer.
