We're partnering with a fantastic client in search of an experienced CNC Machinist III . This is a great opportunity for a high-level machinist with programming and setup skills to join a well-equipped, fast-paced, and quality-focused environment.
The CNC Machinist III is responsible for operating, setting up, and potentially programming CNC machines (mills, lathes, Wire EDMs) to produce precise components. This role demands advanced technical skill, the ability to troubleshoot, propose process improvements, and contribute to fixture design and documentation improvements, while upholding high safety and quality standards.

Shift: 1st Shift - Four 10-hour days, Monday-Friday
Pay: $29-$45/hr (based on experience)

Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and program CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDMs
- Read and interpret complex blueprints and specifications
- Machine a variety of parts and materials to tight tolerances
- Recommend tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds for improved efficiency
- Troubleshoot machining issues and interpret/edit CNC code as needed
- Improve and document machining processes and work instructions
- Assist with fixture redesign for enhanced quality and productivity
- Use a wide range of precision measurement tools to verify parts
- Perform hand finishing and routine machine maintenance
- Follow GMP/GDP standards and complete all required documentation
- Identify and support continuous improvement and 5S initiatives
- Train and mentor junior machinists as needed
- Record production activity and report any issues or delays
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience
- Proficient with setup, offsets, and minor program edits
- Experience with multiple machine types (mills, lathes, Wire EDM)
- Strong blueprint reading and measurement skills
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent troubleshooting, planning, and prioritization skills
- Comfortable working in a regulated, fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Solid computer and documentation skills
Preferred:
- Associate degree or certificate in Machining/Tooling is a plus
- Experience supporting Engineering or fixture design
