This is a great opportunity for a high-level machinist with programming and setup skills to join a well-equipped, fast-paced, and quality-focused environment. The CNC Machinist III is responsible for operating, setting up, and potentially programming CNC machines (mills, lathes, Wire EDMs) to produce precise components. This role demands advanced technical skill, the ability to troubleshoot, propose process improvements, and contribute to fixture design and documentation improvements, while upholding high safety and quality standards. Location: Wilmington, MA Employment Type: Direct Hire Shift: 1st Shift - Four 10-hour days, Monday-Friday Pay: $29-$45/hr (based on experience) Benefits: Competitive benefits available upon hire Key Responsibilities:Set up, operate, and program CNC mills, lathes, and Wire EDMsRead and interpret complex blueprints and specificationsMachine a variety of parts and materials to tight tolerancesRecommend tooling, offsets, speeds, and feeds for improved efficiencyTroubleshoot machining issues and interpret/edit CNC code as neededImprove and document machining processes and work instructionsAssist with fixture redesign for enhanced quality and productivityUse a wide range of precision measurement tools to verify partsPerform hand finishing and routine machine maintenanceFollow GMP/GDP standards and complete all required documentationIdentify and support continuous improvement and 5S initiativesTrain and mentor junior machinists as neededRecord production activity and report any issues or delays Qualifications:High school diploma or GED requiredMinimum 5 years of CNC machining experienceProficient with setup, offsets, and minor program editsExperience with multiple machine types (mills, lathes, Wire EDM)Strong blueprint reading and measurement skillsAble to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent troubleshooting, planning, and prioritization skillsComfortable working in a regulated, fast-paced environmentStrong written and verbal communicationSolid computer and documentation skills Preferred:Associate degree or certificate in Machining/Tooling is a plus Experience supporting Engineering or fixture design Additional Requirements:U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident status requiredAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
