Accounting firm seeking a highly motivated tax accountant experienced in the preparation of both business and individual tax returns. The position is responsible for completing business and individual tax engagements, communicating with clients, and providing support to the accounting staff.

Duties Include but not limited to:

  1. Preparing Business, Individual, and Personal Property tax returns
  2. Developing a set of detailed workpapers
  3. Contacting clients for missing documentation, further information needed, and answering questions
  4. Reviewing financials completed by Bookkeeper or prepared by client
  5. Completing adjusting journal entries to finalize financials
  6. Preparing interim financials and quarterly projections
  7. Assisting in preparing quarterly and annual payroll filings

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting (or relevant subject)
  2. 2+ years' experience in public accounting - tax preferred
  3. Experience with QuickBooks, Lacerte, and Microsoft Office

Additional Information:

  1. 4-day, 10-hour work week outside of tax season
  2. 5-day work week with shortened Fridays during tax season
  3. Ability to work overtime as needed
