Hoge Fenton, a respected multi-service law firm headquartered in downtown San Jose, is seeking a
senior-level attorney (8+ years)
to join our Employment Law group. This role involves supporting the growth of our employment law litigation practice while assisting clients in navigating complex employment law matters. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record as a trusted advisor and possess extensive experience in employment litigation, including defense against harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims; class action defense; PAGA action defense; handling trade secret actions; and defending wage and hour claims. Experience representing clients before agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH, DLSE, and CUIAB is also required. Additionally, the candidate should bring at least a partial book of portable business. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school Active membership in the State Bar of California Minimum of 8 years of experience in employment law litigation Proven track record in handling complex employment law matters Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment Key Responsibilities Provide expert legal counsel and representation in employment law litigation Assist clients with defense against harassment, discrimination, and retaliation claims Manage class action defense and PAGA action defense cases Handle trade secret actions and defend wage and hour claims Represent clients before regulatory agencies such as the EEOC, DFEH, DLSE, and CUIAB Develop and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted advisor Location This position can be based in any of our offices: Tri-Valley (Pleasanton), Peninsula (San Mateo), or Silicon Valley (downtown San Jose). Travel between locations may be necessary. Compensation The annual billable hours requirement is flexible and would be negotiated as part of the complete compensation package.
