Employment Defense Attorney
to join their respected and collaborative team in
Encino, CA . The position offers the opportunity to work on high-quality matters while maintaining a healthy work-life balance through a
flexible hybrid schedule .
Key Responsibilities Defend employers in employment litigation, including single-plaintiff, class action, and PAGA matters in state and federal courts Represent clients in administrative proceedings (e.g., DFEH/CRD, EEOC, DLSE) Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and discovery Advise clients on day-to-day employment law issues including wage & hour, discipline, leave laws, and workplace policies Draft and revise employee handbooks, policies, and employment agreements Participate in mediations, depositions, and trial preparation Support partners and collaborate with the team on complex cases and client counseling
Qualifications J.D. from an accredited law school Active member in good standing with the California State Bar 2+ years of labor & employment defense experience
(plaintiff-side experience will be considered if transitioning to defense) Experience with wage & hour litigation, PAGA claims, and discrimination/harassment cases
Salary and Other Compensation: The annual salary for this position is between [$200,000 – $3500,000 annually]. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. Benefits:
