We are seeking an Operations Technical Specialist to support and manage workflows between multiple departments. The role involves collaborating with underwriting and other business partners to transform underwriting elements into finished, standardized documents for insureds. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the insurance industry, be a creative problem-solver, and have excellent system navigation and detail orientation. This position is based in an Ascot office with a hybrid work schedule. Responsibilities
Manage workflow of assigned underwriting business units. Leverage standardized workflows and compliance guidelines to understand and improve business processes. Identify areas for process improvement, create, and implement solutions. Support underwriters and brokers throughout the policy lifecycle, including clearance, binders, invoices, policies, endorsements, cancellations, renewals, non-renewals, and reinstatements. Ensure files meet compliance standards. Draft and issue policy documents. Process work accurately and within Service Level Agreements. Provide guidance and support to the offshore shared service team, including training and quality checks. Collaborate with the offshore team/service center as needed. Complete midterm endorsements quickly and accurately. Communicate effectively with the underwriting team to gather necessary information. Assist with additional ad hoc projects as required. Requirements
High school diploma required; Bachelors degree preferred. Minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar role preferred. Positive, self-motivated, detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills. Customer-centric mindset, both internally and externally. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Collaborative skills in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and typing skills). This position may be filled at a different level depending on experience. Compensation
The base salary varies based on experience, expertise, and skills. For Chicago and New York Metro areas, the range is $55,000-$65,000. Compensation may include bonuses, long-term incentives, and other discretionary rewards. Company Benefits
