Lynden Logistics, Inc . is seeking a Customs Entry Writer to join our brokerage team! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in keeping shipments moving efficiently and compliantly. You'll be at the center of international logistics, handling customs entries, coordinating with carriers and regulatory agencies, and ensuring timely delivery for a variety of shipments. What Youll Do:
As a Customs Entry Writer, youll play a key role in facilitating international import shipments. With moderate supervision, youll ensure timely and compliant customs entries, provide exceptional customer service, and coordinate with agencies and carriers to keep freight moving efficiently. Your responsibilities will include:
- Tracking and monitoring air, ocean, truck, and rail imports
- Preparing compliant ISF, Customs, and OGA entries
- Communicating with customs officials, carriers, and clients
- Managing import documentation, invoicing, and HTS tables
- Maintaining audit-ready transaction files
- Participating in compliance and continuing education programs
- This is a full-time, in-office position
What You Bring:
- High school diploma and 4+ years of international freight experience (logistics degree/certification preferred)
- Familiarity with U.S. Customs regulations and HTS classification
- Strong organizational and research skills
- Proficiency in standard business and logistics software
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent customer service mindset and ability to work independently
Additional Requirements:
- Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
- Must obtain and maintain a TSA Security Threat Assessment (STA) or recognized equivalent
