Job Description :
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic
Senior Project Manager
to lead complex, large-scale IT initiatives from initiation through successful delivery. This role requires advanced project management expertise, strong leadership skills, technical knowledge, and change management proficiency to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with business objectives and enterprise standards.
Responsibilities: • Provide strategic oversight, leadership, and accountability for large, complex IT projects, typically lasting more than six months, involving 20+ team members, and requiring executive-level communication and coordination. • Lead cross-functional teams through all phases of project planning and execution, including integrated scheduling, budget tracking, and risk management. • Monitor and report on project progress in terms of scope, quality, schedule, and budget, escalating issues and risks when necessary. • Perform long-term release planning to support organizational strategic objectives and align with broader enterprise initiatives. • Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to evaluate technical requirements and propose solutions that meet business needs while adhering to best practices and industry standards. • Apply structured change management practices (e.g., ADKAR/Prosci) to drive stakeholder alignment and ensure successful adoption of project deliverables. • Collaborate with stakeholder engagement leads to create and execute communication plans, facilitate training sessions, and monitor organizational readiness. • Partner with technical teams and vendors to design, integrate, deploy, and troubleshoot complex solutions. • Manage vendor-supported projects involving integrated technical components and multiple stakeholder groups.
Required Skills: • Proven experience leading large, high-visibility IT projects with medium to high risk. • Strong knowledge of APIs, system interfaces, and multi-system integrations across complex IT environments. • Working knowledge of IT infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, firewalls, VIPs, F5 listeners, and ports. • Familiarity with web platforms, virtualized environments, and cloud solutions. • Ability to lead both technical delivery and change management initiatives within complex organizations. • Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills with experience working directly with executive leadership. • Demonstrated success in project planning, budgeting, risk management, and vendor coordination.
Nice to Have: • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. • Prosci Change Management certification or equivalent. • Experience working within government or public sector IT environments. • Familiarity with Agile, hybrid, or enterprise project management methodologies.
