Quality Technician

We are seeking a Quality Technician in Buffalo Grove, IL responsible for the day-to-day monitoring, testing, and documentation of raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products throughout all stages of production and packaging. This position ensures compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements including ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14644, Safe Quality Food (SQF), and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs). Quality Technician Responsibilities: Conduct inspections and maintain documentation for raw materials, work-in-progress and finished goods Maintain, organize, and store inspection reports and product sample retention Interpret and apply work instructions, product specifications and technical drawings Ensure compliance with federal, state and company quality standards Maintain calibration records and perform routine inspections across all stages of production Conduct cleanroom environmental monitoring, including Airborne Particulate Testing Perform product testing using instruments such as X-Rite, micrometers, burst testers, seal strength testers, peel strength testers, liquid particulate testers, and TAPPI charts, in accordance with work instructions and product specifications Analyze quality data and generate reports, identifying deviations from standards Recommend and implement improvements to quality control processes and procedures Communicate quality or compliance concerns promptly to appropriate personnel Requirements for Quality Technician: Bachelor's degree or minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Control Solid understanding of test equipment like micrometer, seal tester, Lighthouse 3016, LPS tester, X-rite Strong working knowledge of various mathematical concepts including fractions, ratios and proportions Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds occasionally Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent organizational skills Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret information QPS Employment Group is a full-service staffing firm comprised of dedicated and passionate people with over 50 offices throughout the United States.
