To supervise the hourly Human Resources staff members; partner with Department and Terminal management, and to assist the Director of Human Resources as needed. Essential duties include: Oversee the activities of the Human Resource Administrative staff (including coaching, counseling, disciplinary action, and performance reviews) Train and develop Human Resources Administrative staff to advance their skills Develop and support many reports/queries and analyze, evaluate and interpret data from key HR software systems and other sources Assist in maintaining and enhancing employee benefit programs, including health insurance, retirement benefits and other personnel packages Works with recruiting team on hiring initiatives/trends Partners with HR Business Partner and HR Generalist on complex investigations Oversee essential HR audits as needed Answer employee inquiries and provide excellent customer service Oversee the maintenance of employee data in multiple data bases and software systems Perform disciplinary investigations and draft corrective action documents Administer Office Hourly Employee and Maintenance Performance Appraisal program Actively participate in Engagement Survey process and implementations of engagement programs Assists the Director of Human Resources on the HR Action Plan Complete responses, attend hearings, and perform other functions in the unemployment process Attend and actively participate in meetings as required Draft and design written communication and company postings Coordinate and oversee company events Manage the maintenance of personnel records in compliance with laws Work in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all times Handle confidential matters with discretion Manage multiple duties simultaneously Complete various special projects as needed Provide assistance to the Director of Human Resources Crosstrain and assist in any HR functions as needed or required Perform other duties as needed Qualifications
Qualifications include: Valid Driver License 4-year degree and 2 years' experience in Business, HR or other related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience SHRM-CP or PHR preferred Supervisory experience required Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite Excellent typing and data entry skills preferred Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, and problem-solver Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and react to change productively Advanced computer skills with the ability to navigate multiple computer systems Ability to work on tasks independently or in a team environment Excellent attendance Working Conditions/Physical Demands: Must be willing to travel up to 15% of the time for training, meetings, or on-site visits. Primarily sedentary work, which involves sitting most of the time May be occasionally required to exert up to 20 pounds of force and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects The general office environment is favorable; Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are minimal hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. Visual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor Manual dexterity is regularly required including fingering, grasping, and typing; manual dexterity includes repetitive motion of the wrists, hands, and fingers Talking and hearing required to communicate with and listen to others to share or receive information; May be occasionally exposed to noise including telephone, office machinery, and conversations of others We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
