Need 2 Full time, Temporary, Seasonal, Farmworkers/Laborers to work in Breckenridge, Minnesota ($18.15) and Wahpeton, North Dakota ($19.21). From: 09/22/2025

06/22/2026 Work: 45 hrs./week, Mon.-Fri. 9 hrs./day, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Must apply by: 02/06/2026 Due to system rules, this job order will close before the recruitment period elapses on 02/06/2026, however a new job order will be created and posted for the remainder of the recruitment period. OVERTIME: As required in Minnesota, all work performed in excess of 48 hours in a work week will be paid at 1.5 times the regular rate of pay. This does not apply to North Dakota work locations. Effective Jan 1, 2024, per MN State Statute, employee will earn one hour of paid sick and safe time for every 30 hours worked, up to at least 48 hours of accrued Earned Sick and Safe Time (ESST) a year. This does not apply to North Dakota work locations. JOB DUTIES: Job duties may consist of, but are not limited to: Record information about crops, such as pesticide use, yields, or costs. Direct and monitor the work of casual and seasonal help during planting and harvesting. Participate in the inspection, grading, sorting, storage, and post-harvest treatment of crops. Harvest plants, and transplant or pot and label them. Repair and maintain farm vehicles, implements, and mechanical equipment. Harvest fruits and vegetables by hand. Set up and operate irrigation equipment. Inform farmers or farm managers of crop progress. Identify plants, pests, and weeds to determine the selection and application of pesticides and fertilizers. Operate tractors, tractor-drawn machinery, and self-propelled machinery to plow, harrow and fertilize soil, or to plant, cultivate, spray and harvest crops. Load agricultural products into trucks, and drive trucks to market or storage facilities. Clean work areas and maintain grounds and landscaping. Sell and deliver plants and flowers to customers. Regulate greenhouse conditions, and indoor and outdoor irrigation systems. Feel plants' leaves and note their coloring to detect the presence of insects or disease. Provide information and advice to the public regarding the selection, purchase, and care of products. Maintain and repair irrigation and climate control systems. Dig, cut, and transplant seedlings, cuttings, trees, and shrubs. Record information about plants and plant growth. Maintain inventory, ordering materials as required. Dig, rake, and screen soil, filling cold frames and hot beds in preparation for planting. Inspect plants and bud ties to assess quality. Move containerized shrubs, plants, and trees, using wheelbarrows or tractors. Tie and bunch flowers, plants, shrubs, and trees, wrap their roots, and pack them into boxes to fill orders. Haul and spread topsoil, fertilizer, peat moss, and other materials to condition soil, using wheelbarrows or carts and shovels. Repair farm buildings, fences, and other structures. Plant, spray, weed, fertilize, water, and prune plants, shrubs, and trees, using gardening tools. Workers will help harvest soy beans by hand. Workers will also help evaluate soy bean crops, package and load soybeans, and maintain land for planting season. The job requires frequent travel to Brushvale Seed's site in North Dakota. If the worker is able to obtain a Minnesota/North Dakota driver's license, the worker may be required to drive an employer-provided vehicle for work-related purposes. EMPLOYER ASSURANCES: Work guaranteed for 3/4 of contract period, starting with date of arrival at work site. Employer provides free housing for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Employer pays inbound transportation and subsistence to work site upon 50% completion of work contract for workers whose residence is beyond normal commuting distance. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $16.28 per day during travel to a maximum of $68.00 per day with receipts. Required work-related tools, and supplies provided free of charge by employer.
