Work Shift Day (United States of America) Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions

Managing the PMO: Lead and motivate the PMO team: Recruit, train, and mentor PMO staff, and provide guidance and support to project managers. Manage resources and budget: Allocate resources effectively and monitor project costs to stay within budget. Communicate with stakeholders: Keep senior management and other stakeholders informed about project progress, risks, and issues. Gather and analyze project data: Collect data on project performance, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvement. Strategic Planning and Oversight: Define and implement project management methodologies: This includes choosing and adapting project management methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, or Scrum, and tailoring them to the organization's specific needs. Establish PMO standards and processes: Develop and maintain project management guidelines, templates, and tools to ensure consistency across projects. Oversee project portfolios: Monitor project progress, track resource allocation, and provide insights to senior management for decision-making. Align project management with organizational strategy: Ensure projects contribute to the overall business goals and objectives. Supporting Project Teams: Provide guidance and support to project managers: Offer mentorship, training, and tools to help project managers effectively manage their projects. Facilitate communication and collaboration: Ensure effective communication between project teams, stakeholders, and other relevant parties. Identify and manage risks: Help project managers identify and mitigate potential risks that could impact project success. Promote continuous improvement: Encourage a culture of learning and improvement within the PMO and among project teams. Other duties as assigned Provide facilitation and organization of large meetings, leadership teams and groups as requested Lead the gathering and dissemination of materials for meetings, provide edits and restructuring. Attend management, project team, and customer meetings as requested Performs other duties as assigned Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct. Required Minimum Education

Bachelors Other or Masters Business Administration/Management-Preferred Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):

Project Management Professional Upon Hire Preferred Required Minimum Experience:

Minimum 8 years in a project manager role including experience in a health care system environment Required and Minimum 10 years of people management experience Required and Minimum 10 years experience working in healthcare Required and Significant experience working with senior IT leaders, including ability to manage through influence instead of direct reporting relationships Required and Minimum 15 years related experience in lieu of Masters degree considered Preferred Required Minimum Skills:

High Project management knowledge and experience: Strong understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
